Tile5 – Opensource HTML5 Mapping And Tiling javascript library

Tile5 is an opensource HTML5 mapping javascript library that provides developers the ability to integrate existing mapping platforms to provide a rich HTML5 experience.

These HTML5 mapping is compatible with most of the mapping providers like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and more. The table bellow lists the status of the various operations that are supported in Tile5 and their implementation status in the library for a particular map provider.

These HTML5 mapping is targeted at both mobile and desktop browsers that support HTML5. Our long-term goal is to achieve compatibility with all mobile devices considered “Class A” on the jQuery Mobile GBS chart, as well as modern desktop browsers (including IE once Microsoft get their act together). look at the chart bellow for information device compatibility
